About
The Founder
Nate Pettyjohn, founder and CEO of Plant A Seed, is passionate about leading people to Christ by planting seeds of faith. Like many others, his journey has included seasons of doubt. He has wrestled with difficult questions, searched for answers, and spent time studying God's Word. Yet the place where his questions have often been answered most clearly is in God's creation.
Creation has a way of pointing us back to its Creator. How do birds instinctively know how to build their nests? How do the oceans know where to stop? How does the earth sustain life with such remarkable precision? The more Nate reflected on these questions, the more convinced he became that creation declares the glory of God.
As Nate experienced God's love, grace, and mercy, he felt called to share that hope with others. He also realized that many people struggle to understand Scripture. Jesus said, "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart" (Matthew 13:19). That truth became the foundation of Plant A Seed.
Today, Nate is dedicated to helping people grow in their faith while inspiring them to experience and protect God's creation. Plant A Seed exists to encourage people to spend time outside, admire the beauty of God's handiwork, deepen their understanding of His Word, and faithfully steward the world He has entrusted to us.
Let's plant seeds that will bear fruit for generations to come.
Plant A Seed
Plant a Seed is a Christian conservation lifestyle brand dedicated to bringing people closer to Jesus by planting seeds through an appreciation of His creation. God entrusted this earth onto us so that we would be good stewards of his work - we are driving that mission to reach believers and non-believers.
As a conservation-focused brand, we are committed to protecting God's creation by advocating for its protection and mainstreaming its beauty.
Our Why
Our Creator entrusted us with a world full of extraordinary beauty, not to observe from a distance, but to experience firsthand. Nature reflects the work of a loving God and invites us to explore, admire, and worship Him through His creation. As stewards of this gift, we are called to protect and preserve it for generations to come.
